Enrollment
The Scholar OS Student Enrollment feature is designed to streamline the process of managing student admissions and registration, mirroring the core functionality of traditional Student Information Systems (SIS). This feature allows administrators to handle student data efficiently from the initial application stage through to enrollment confirmation, ensuring an organized and structured workflow.
Note: if your school has deployed a Student Information System and integrated it with Scholar OS, be sure to first confirm which one is the primary data source.
New Student
When Scholar OS serves as the student information data source, or if a third-party SIS has not been deployed, you can complete the new student information entry by following these steps.
How to:
- Log in to your Scholar OS instance.
- Navigate to the Admission dropdown menu.
- Switch to the Enrollment tab.
- Click on New Student.
Sibling
To link a new student with an existing sibling, start by searching for the sibling using the student’s name, student number, or other keywords. Once the correct sibling is identified and selected, confirm the choice to establish the link. This action associates the new student with the existing sibling, automatically updating the new student’s family ID to match the sibling’s family ID. If there are multiple siblings in the same family, you only need to link the new student to one of them; the shared family ID will connect the new student to all siblings, eliminating the need to search and link each sibling individually. This approach simplifies family-based tracking and billing processes.
